What separates you from the ultra rich?
It’s not your car, it’s not your house, it sure as hell not your looks.
What separates you from the rich are 5 simple mindset tweaks. And if you can start implementing these tweaks right away, then you can start living life on your own damn terms.
1. Money is abundant
They lied to you.
Money does in fact grow on trees.
And at the end of the day, all money is paper.
So are you really going to let this dirty piece of paper dictate your life?
Money can be destroyed and money can be printed. Money is merely a commodity.
FUN FACT: $5.3 Trillion a day gets traded in the world economy. And you’re telling me you can’t make a measly $100 per day?
But you know what’s not a commodity?
Every single day you waste is another day that you can NEVER get back. It’s gone. Forever. Poof. If you’re young, you have no way of understanding it.
But there will come a point in your life when you are 45, stuck in an unfulfilling job, living with a spouse that you hate, fat and depressed.
And it will be ALL YOUR FAULT.
It will be at that point in your life will you realize that you fucked up and that you really don’t have all the time in the world.
But that hasn’t happened just yet.
If you have the ability to read this and you woke up today when many people didn’t…
You can still succeed.
You just got to shift your mindset to knowing that money is abundant and time is scarce.
So every single action you take should be leveraging more money for less time.
How you do that is easy.
- Create a cashflow business
- Leverage that cashflow business into more passive streams of income
- Live your life and don’t sweat the small stuff
2. You Make Money By Adding Value
Do you know what business is?
It’s people helping people.
You have someone with a problem. You have an entrepreneur like yourself find that person with the problem. Then you GIVE THAT PERSON a solution.
I remember a quote that changed my mindset earlier on in entrepreneurship.
“You don’t get out of life what you want, you get out of life WHO YOU ARE,”
What the hell does that mean?
It means stop chasing money.
Because like that girl at the bar that you really want to talk to but you keep staring at (and she knows it),
if you keep on pursuing money, it will only allude you.
What you need to do is to BECOME the person that money is generally attracted to.
Do you think Mark Zuckerberg knew he was going to become the richest man in the world when he first started Facebook?
All he was focusing on was connecting people with people.
And the value he provided in our lives made little Mark a magnet to money.
You need to do the same thing.
Stop asking yourself, “How can I earn $100?”
Start asking yourself, ”How can I GIVE $100 of VALUE to another person?”
Make that mindset shift and you will slowly start seeing your life change for the better.
“You will get all you want in life, if you help enough other people get what they want.” – Zig Ziglar
3. It’s Not Your Lack of Money It’s Your Lack of Motivation
One of the biggest excuses I get is, “Mike, your videos and blog is so badass, but I just don’t have the money to get started.”
Shut. the. Hell. up.
It’s not your lack of money that is stopping you from making money.
It’s your lack of motivation.
For example, if I were to ask you for $10,000 in the next 24 hours. Would you be able to give it to me?
“Hell no screw you Mike.”
EXACTLY! Why on earth would you give me $10,000 for no reason what so ever?
Now let’s change the situation a little bit.
Say a stranger now kidnaps your parents.
He leaves a ransom note saying, “If you don’t come up with $10,000 in the next 24 hours, I am going to end your parent’s lives.”
How different will you respond?
Are you just going to say, “oh well that was fun, bye mom and dad see you on the other side!”
You are going to do whatever the hell it takes to come up with that money because your love for your family is worth more than a measly $10K.
Rob a bank, sell your kidney, go full-out Rambo on the kidnappers ass.
It doesn’t matter.
But what you won’t do is just sit there.
The problem with amateur entrepreneurs is that they don’t know what really motivates them.
They are too focused on the money and not focused on why they actually wanted the money in the first place.
When I was in college. I would see my mom work 16 hours a day. Blood, sweat, tears, she did whatever it took to help pay for me and my sister’s college education.
Do you think she wanted to waste 16 hours of her day slaving away?
What kept her doing that what most people would deem insane was her love for her children.
You need to look past the money.
What in your life would motivate you to work 16 hours a day with no results for a year?
What would inspire you to get passed the failures?
Is there anything in your life RIGHT NOW that is worth fighting for?
(Leave it in the comments box below and let me know!)
For those that are tight on a budget..
One of the cheapest businesses to start is blogging.
It’s only $4/month.
Are you kidding me?
What other business out there can you get started for $4/month.
A McDonald’s? Nope
Amazon FBA? Nada
You don’t need to spend money on advertising. You don’t need to hire a team of 8 employees. All you need to do is focus on providing value to the world and wait for the marketplace to compensate you.
4. Your Network is Your Net Worth
Show me your friends..
And I can show you your future.
If you are hanging around with friends that aren’t going anywhere in life. It’s not hard to see where you are going to end up.
Hang out with the wrong friends and you become a drug addict.
Hang out with the wrong friends and you go to prison.
Spending too much time with the wrong friends and you will end up the biggest failure in your life.
You want to know the fastest way to succeed in life?
START SPENDING MORE TIME AROUND THE PEOPLE THAT HAVE THE RESULTS YOU WANT.
I remember in high school. I wanted to get a 6 pack, huge arms, and a chest that was bigger than Kim Kardashian’s butt.
You know what I did?
I spent an entire summer with people who were bigger than me.
I failed in front of them.
They saw me struggle.
And by the time I had paid my dues, I ended up getting the body that I wanted.
Not by accident.
BUT BY OSMOSIS.
How much do you want to make per day?
Now find 5 people who make that per day and spend all your time with them.
All your friends suck?
That’s still ok!
While I was in college and surrounded by a bunch of people who hated on my dreams, I downloaded Jim Rohn, Tony Robbins, and Bob Proctor on my iPod and I brainwashed myself with their knawwledge.
I started spending more time with these people (via iPod) than I did with “my friends.”
And while everyone after college was stuck trying to find jobs.
You can do the same.
If everyone around you is hopeless to follow, find 5 YouTubers that have the results you want, and immerse yourself with their information
- Follow them on Instagram
- Subscribe to their YouTube channel
- And stalk the hell out of them on Snapchat
Spend more time with them than you do with your broke friends and you will start seeing some changes in your lifestyle.
Find ways to meet them in real life and befriend them, and now you are on the next level.
Back in the day, this was my funnel for making my mentors into my friends.
- I would buy their products
- I would join their Facebook group
- Whenever I learned something, I added value to the group
- When the mentor was hosting a live event, I showed up
- Everyone would know me from the Facebook group from adding value (including the mentor)
- I would find them at the bar
- I would buy them tequila shots and get them to “spill their secrets”
There you go guys, Mike Vestil’s Mentor to Friend 101
All jokes aside (even though the above situation does happen)
Find a way to GIVE value to the mentor. Don’t just ask for it. Why the hell would they do it for free? Remember how scarce time is? Mentors understand this.
Become the person that is worth a mentor’s time.
5. The #1 Investment Of All Time
So you have $1000 to invest. Where do you put it? In Apple? HAHA no. in Facebook? PUHlease. In Amazon? NO.
The number one investment you can ever make..
IS IN YOURSELF
Unless you are a psychic mofo that can tell which startup is the next Uber or the next Airbnb (in which if you are, send your black magic predictions my way so I can get in on your financial wizardry)
There is no other way to get a bigger return of investment other than investing in yourself.
What happens when you invest in yourself?
You can turn a $4/month investment in blogging into a six figure side hustle.
Guys, the only difference between you and the person that is living the life that you want are your mindsets.
What books have they read that you haven’t?
What courses have they bought that you haven’t?
What seminars have they gone through that you’ve never even though of going to?
Get your ass there.
Every single dollar I make, around 10% of it goes to buying books, courses, and seminars.
I am not afraid to reinvest in myself.
I know that what ever income I want, I just have to become the person that deserves it.
It is IMPOSSIBLE to get their otherwise.
So yes, to fast track my success.
Instead of spending money on crap, I spend it on things that can grow me as a human being.
Books to read (under $10):
Course to take (under $500):
Seminars to attend ($500-Over $1K):
Until next time!
