However, this method may take slightly longer than applying online due to processing time and mailing duration. It usually takes 2-4 weeks, however, you can still expect an EIN confirmation letter after submitting Form SS-4 via mail.

What Is A Registered Agent And Why Do I Need One To Form An LLC In Nevada?

A Registered Agent acts as the public face of your LLC by receiving service of process notices—including tax forms, legal documents, and other official government communications—on behalf of your business. Any document served on your business must be delivered directly to the registered agent.

In Nevada, anyone over 18 years old who resides in the state or any corporation authorized to conduct business in the state can serve as your business’s registered agent so long as they are available during regular business hours at a physical street address in Nevada. Alternatively, you may opt for a paid service that provides additional assistance while protecting privacy from public records. 

These services cost roughly $100 - $300 per year but provide extra peace of mind due to their expertise and commitment to customer service.

Differences Between LLCs And Other Business Structures

When starting a new business, it is essential to understand the differences between different types of entities to choose the best option for your situation.

One difference between LLCs and other business structures is that they offer limited liability protection, which means owners are not personally liable for debts incurred by their businesses unless they have signed personal guarantees or have committed fraud or misrepresented themselves while conducting their businesses' affairs.

Another difference between entities is how they are taxed; while corporations pay taxes on their profits at both corporate and individual levels (double taxation), LLCs only pay taxes at particular levels (pass-through taxation).
