Intermittent Fasting: Beginner’s Guide to Looking Sexy Naked

Intermittent fasting has changed my life..

People always ask me, “Mike how the hell are you able to eat whatever you want and still maintain a six pack?

It’s simple really. I credit my abnormally chiseled features (said so in the humblest of ways) to intermittent fasting. I really had no choice.

Listen. When you travel the world building a YouTube channel, working on business, and doing grown up gangster stuff like I do, it’s very hard for the normal average person to maintain their body figure without turning into a fat little piggy. Especially if you’re like me and love cramming large plates of noodles and fried rice into my face.

“But Mike isn’t eating all that food unhealthy?”

Well yes my friend it is. But only to the untrained eye.

Thanks to intermittent fasting, I am able to eat an obnoxious amount of tasty food while still looking sexy naked.

In this post I am going to break down this mystical art of Intermittent fasting. That way you can learn how you can lose the weight you want by eating the foods that you desire.

Let Me Explain:

  1. The Problem
  2. What is Intermittent Fasting?
  3. How Intermittent Fasting Works
  4. Is It Dangerous?
  5. The Benefits
  6. Have Fun and Live Your Life..

A problem was born

It started in 2015. I successfully scaled a business from zero to $1.5 million in 12 months and I began to travel and enjoy myself a little too much. Honestly those months were a blur. I flew to Spain and freely ate as much paella as I pleased. A couple weeks later I ended up in Vegas and got drunk with a bunch of random strangers that I just met. Then finally I ended up in my home country of the Philippines where the local’s biggest job was to make sure you were always full.

Why yes it was a glorious year.

But it was also the year that I got a little pudgy. One day I looked in the mirror and gasped. Who the hell was the tubby person in the mirror giving me a weird look. It was me. Something needed to change. But I didn’t want to count my calories or force myself to eat a healthy nutritious meal every 2 hours like what the “fitness gurus” would recommend.

I needed to find a way where I can eat the foods that I wanted and enjoy my meals while still keeping a six pack. After hours of asking the wisdom of Google, I stumbled upon the answer to my prayers. Intermittent fasting.

The Answer: Intermittent Fasting

With names likes Beyonce, Ben Affleck, and Hugh Jackman turning to intermittent fasting for getting the body that they want, its no surprise that more people are becoming curious about the mystical powers of intermittent fasting.

What Is Intermittent Fasting?

Many people believe it’s a form of dieting. But believe me it is not. While dieting means to restrict oneself to small amounts of food, intermitting fasting is not eating for a specific amount of time in a day (by usually skipping breakfast) then feasting like a king (or queen) for the remaining two meals.

“Mike how dare you.. my mother told me that breakfast is the most important meal of the day… are you calling mother a liar?!”

Before you point fingers and begin to call me names, just keep an open mind as you read this because at the end of the day isn’t it results that you want?

If you want to get good at basketball who would you take advice from? Michael Jordan or that one kid in gym class that always got picked last for a pick up game? If you want to learn how to make money who would you take advice from? Bill gates or your 39 year old friend that lives with his parents but apparently knows how to make money because he took one business class in community college?

The fact of the matter is that intermittent fasting works. And if I was able to make it work for me (someone who enjoys eating way too much), then what is stopping you from taking the exact same blueprint and make it work for yourself?

How Intermittent Fasting Works

“Fine so how does it work then Mike?”

Well I am glad you asked!

So whenever you eat a meal, your body breaks down the food into glucose for your body to use as energy. Your body enjoys using this form of energy the most, especially over fat. Meaning if you always have a constant flow of glucose in your body, then you are never giving your body the ability to burn that stubborn unwanted belly fat.

The normal scenario:

You have just woken up from an 8-hour sleep session meaning your body is almost completely deficient in readily available glucose. You quickly run down stairs, grab a large bowl, throw it on the table, and pour in as much Cinnamon Toast Crunch as quickly as possible. Whoops. You messed up. Your body now has no chance in burning that fat that lurks beneath your t shirt.

So what happens when you end up skipping your first meal upon waking up?

The better scenario:

You wake up, and instead of eating, your drink 5 glasses of water. Normally when you think you are “hungry” you are actually thirsty. So drink some water damn it. Since you skipped breakfast, your body has no readily available glucose to burn as energy. It immediately starts burning the next thing available instead: Your fat cells. Now if you push your first meal back to around 1 pm. You just turned your body into a fat burning machine.

Once 1 pm hits you are free to feast on whatever it is that you want (as long as its reasonably healthy and not just candy and cookies). Repeat the process at 8 pm getting your days worth of calories in those two meals. Then don’t eat again until the next day at 1 p.m.

Congratulations! You just completed your first successful intermittent fasting session. Now just repeat this until forever..

Trust me its not as bad once you get used to it and after you keep on reading further along you’ll find out that it actually has some positive health benefits to it.

Is It Dangerous?

“But Mike I don’t understand it.. isn’t not eating dangerous?”

Now for this to make someone reasonable sense.. lets take a look at cavemen.

Have you ever looked at pictures of cavemen? If you have you probably noticed that there wasn’t many of them that were fat. In fact, it seems as if most of them look pretty athletic with a minimum amount of fat. That’s because every single morning when they wake up. They have no food. They literally need to put on their skirt made out of leaves, grab their hunting stick, and go out there and find some food to eat which would take hours to find.

But what happens if its time for lunch? Do they just go to a gas station, pick up a granola bar, and a Red Bull and call it a day?

Nope. Not at all.

They do what cavemen do best and thats cavemen shit: Finding food or dying in the process. Back then it was survival of the fittest and only the strong survive. So even if they missed a meal, they didn’t cry about it because they knew that all they had to do was successfully hunt one animal and they would have a feast.

Intermittent Fasting

Now I am not telling you to starve yourself like a caveman or grab your hunting stick and go out to do some caveman gangster moves. I am telling you this because us as humans are not meant to eat as much food as we have been. With food so readily available, its easy to eat it on demand and flood our bloodstreams with glucose never giving our body the ability to actually burn fat.

Our body was never meant to take in all this food.

So missing just one meal in the morning won’t hurt you that much. If anything, intermittent fasting has some crazy health benefits that will blow your mind.

The Benefits

There are so many benefits that come with intermittent fasting, but for now let me just introduce the top 3.

1) Increases focus

As an entrepreneur, this for me is important. Whenever I have a nice big meal, normally right after I feel sleepy and lethargic. This sucks because I can’t get anything done or do anything productive when all i’m thinking about is how to get rid of the food baby in my belly. However, ever since intermittent fasting for over a year now, every single morning I am able to focus one hundred percent on my work without the distractions that comes with a filled tummy.

2) Makes you live longer

Fun Fact: “Studies have shown that reducing typical calorie consumption, usually by 30 to 40 percent, extends life span by a third or more in many animals, including nematodes, fruit flies and rodents.” – Scientific American

Every single time you eat your body produces waste naturally. One of the products that are created are free radical cells. It is these cells that damage everything in your body if they aren’t taken care of and removed properly by antioxidants. They may even play a role in developing cancer.

However, the more you eat, the more your cells are put into action to try and digest what it is you just ate. Now multiply that over years and years of having poor eating habits and you would be exhausting the normal healthy cells in your body and make them less and less efficient causing more free radical cells to be created.

I remember going to an Unleash the Power Within seminar with Tony Robbins and I remember learning all of this at the event. I was at first skeptical about the idea of how the food you eat can impact the longevity of your life. But then he said this quote,

“If you like to eat a lot, the secret of eating a lot, is eating a little, because then you’ll be around long enough to eat a lot.” – Tony Robbins

3) May Prevent Cancer

“Intermittent fasting not only prolonged life but reduced the prevalence of breast cancer tumors in rats”hope4cancer

Now this is in no way comparing you to rats, you are far more beautiful and far less stinky than the rodents used in this study. But yes, intermittent fasting may shown signs correlated to helping people reduce their risk of deadly diseases..

So not only can you work on becoming the most sexy version of yourself, you can also reduce your risk to certain diseases.

4) You subconsciously lose belly fat while living your life

“Intermittent fasting was found to reduce body weight by 3-8% over a period of 3-24 weeks” – Authority Nutrition

Trust me when I say this but this is way easier than dieting. For the past months I have been backpacking around the world, building my YouTube channel, climbing waterfalls, swimming with sharks, and going on crazy adventures all while trying to figure out more about myself.

The entire time while traveling this is exactly how my day goes. I wake up early, talk to my team and game plan what we need to do with the various project that we have. Go over some emails and manage some of our advertising, then I close my laptop and go on some random adventure with my vlogging camera. I have been having so much fun and have been so present in the moment that I don’t even realize that I haven’t eaten breakfast yet. I eat my first meal at around noon, then go out and explore for a bit, then finally come back home to eat my final meal.

The entire time I do not even think of losing weight or burning fat. But since I intermittent fast – putting all of my daily calories in between those two meals – I actually end up eating less calories than I burned for the day and lost body fat without being consciously aware of it. Whenever I come back to America after backpacking places like Asia, Europe, or South America everyone usually wonders if I had been going to a gym or not.

Well I haven’t. Nope not at all. Just through intermittent fasting and carrying around all my belongings in one backpack, I am not only able to maintain my physique but actually make it better all while eating the foods that I want.

Have Fun and Live Your Life..

Believe me, I’ve tried counting calories, I’ve tried measuring the perfect portion meals, and while I did get somewhat decent results from it, I still felt unhappy.

You see life was not meant to be lived spending all your precious time worrying about eating the perfect portion meals. Life was meant to be lived to be enjoyed and to experience as much happiness as possible – not to be imprisoned by a strict diet for the slight chance at the perfect body.

The perfect diet and the perfect body do not exist..

But what you can do is take control of what you can control and all it comes down to is pushing back breakfast, living your life, and looking sexy naked in the process.
